Mission statement

Ogilvie Group compromises of the following companies:

Over 60 Years of Success

Established in 1953, the Ogilvie Group started life as a construction company in Stirling, Scotland. An on-going diversification strategy has seen the company successfully branch out into areas including Vehicle Contract Hire, Daily Rental, IT, Surveying and House Building.

Today, the Ogilvie Group has a turnover of over £200 million, employs over 450 people, has offices throughout the UK and trading partnerships with organisations across Europe.

The Ogilvie Family

The Ogilvie Group has been steered by three generations of the Ogilvie family and current Chief Executive, Duncan Ogilvie, is the grandson of the firm’s founder.

Whilst the company has grown and changed considerably over sixty years, it still has the traditional values of a family-run business with a focus on people at its heart. Trust, transparency, accountability and reliability – these are the key tenants of the Ogilvie Group which set the tone for all dealings with clients, partners, and prospects.

Our People

As a people business, much of Ogilvie’s success can be attributed to the strength and quality of the extended Ogilvie family. A nurtured and happy workforce results in improved client services and our low staff turnover is testament to our high levels of staff satisfaction.

Clients undoubtedly benefit as they are serviced by highly specialised and skilled teams, who have historical knowledge of their accounts, and a sense of ownership and accountability.

Ours is a group of companies that relies on two key elements – our great staff and our growing family of satisfied customers.

Dynamic & Forward Thinking

Whilst the Ogilvie Group has traditional values, it has survived and flourished over more than six decades and a number of recessions, constantly adapting its business model and commercial approach to remain profitable and able to reinvest.

Careful planning and responsible management in the face of changing market forces has generated steady expansion through organic growth and acquisition.

Quality Service, Consistently Delivered

Another key factor in the continued success of the business, and one related to the quality of the workforce, is the commitment to deliver the highest standard of quality and service across all of the operations.

This goal has been embraced throughout the group companies since inception, and is adopted by all – from the board members to grass roots staff.
